For the insulation of components from radiant heat
The fabric reinforced, metalized polyimide film heat protection mat is especially suited for the insolation of radiant heat. Components which are underneath stay despite massive action of heat cool on the surface. Perfectly suited for the firewall, underfloor or sensitive components in the engine bay which shall be protected.
A thermal barrier on one side made of a metalized polyimide film reflective gold mylar surface reflecting up to 870° C (short-term up to 1500° C) radiant heat.
