Bosch ADV wideband Lambda probe have extended measuring range and shortened response times compared to 4.2 and 4.9 wideband Lambda probes. It measures from Lambda (fuel-to-air ratio) = 0.65. Other advantages of the new probe include higher temperature resistance, shortened response times of less than 30 milliseconds, and high signal accuracy.
Wideband sensors are faster than stock sensors. Because of that they are used additionaly for ECU programming or as control function.
