GENERAL GARRETT G-Series TURBOCHARGER DESCRIPTION

The latest generation of turbochargers from Garrett is an evolution of the GTX series. With higher efficiency and more features, the G-Series stands out. Enhanced airflow capabilities with the same wheel sizes and extreme temperature resistance in the turbine wheel and housing are complemented by features like four water ports, dual piston ring seals, and speed sensor readiness.

Right-Hand and Left-Hand Rotation:
The innovation of the GTX Gen II turbochargers has been carried over to the G-Series, offering reverse rotation models as well!

Compressor Wheel:
All G-Series compressor wheels are CFD-designed, forged, and machined from special high-strength aluminum alloys. The new G-Series compressor wheels provide up to 30% more airflow compared to the GTX Gen II wheels.

Compressor Housing:
The new aero-optimized high-flow compressor housings are tailored to the G-Series wheels and include provisions for optional speed sensors. Improved recirculation systems from Generation I have been adopted, significantly expanding the compressor’s operating range by shifting the surge line.

Core Assembly:
All Garrett G-Series turbos feature water cooling with four connection points, allowing for easier installation of water lines. Like the Gen II, the G-Series comes with dual ceramic ball bearings and introduces dual piston ring seals on both sides.

Turbine Wheel:
The new turbine wheels are made from high-performance Mar-M material, capable of withstanding exhaust temperatures up to 1050°C. Despite maintaining the same dimensions as the GTX wheels, they deliver 15-20% more flow.

Turbine Housing:
The turbine housings are cast from a special stainless steel alloy, also resistant to temperatures up to 1050°C.
