Garrett Vent | Blow-Off Valves release excess boost pressure from the charge pipe when the throttle is closed, preventing damage to the turbocharger and other engine components, ensuring smooth operation and extending turbo lifespan. Developed by the engineers behind the G-Series turbochargers and GVW wastegates, the GVB-50 is a high-flow BOV with a 50 mm valve available in four colors: Red | Blue | Black | Silver.
Choose between vent to atmosphere (VTA) and recirculating (RCV) housings. The GVB-50R (RCV) delivers up to 350 CFM | 0.21 kg/s maximum flow thanks to advanced CFD used to simulate, visualize, and quantify airflow prior to production. A proprietary, high-temperature Nomex-reinforced elastomer diaphragm provides exceptional durability and fatigue resistance, while a plated stem and bushing reduce friction and wear.
Pressure Settings & Kit
GVB blow-off valves are set to 10 PSI base pressure and offer configurable rates from 0.2 bar | 3 PSI to 0.9 bar | 13 PSI. Unlike many alternatives, Garrett includes five springs for precise tuning, optimizing BOV behavior and overall turbo system performance. A single vacuum port streamlines installation. Every kit includes all fasteners, springs, fittings, V-bands, clamps, and flanges.
