The OEM WRX intercooler is prone to heat soak and even failure of the plastic end tanks above 1.24 bar. Mishimoto engineers have spent months designing and testing this new WRX Top-Mount Intercooler to ensure optimal performance both on the street and track.
This WRX Top-Mount Intercooler features durable, cast aluminum end tanks, TIG welded for a highly efficient and dense bar-and-plate core. The Mishimoto WRX intercooler has a 95mm core and a total volume of 9570cm³. Thanks to this volume and a very dense, staggered fin angle, we are able to optimize heat transfer and support vehicles with up to 400 PS at the wheels. This WRX intercooler has undergone rigorous testing, showing a 6.67°C temperature drop as well as +6 PS at the wheels and +8 N*m power increase on our unmodified test vehicles. The installation is simple, requires no modifications of any parts in the engine bay, and can be completed in under 30 minutes.
This top-mount intercooler comes with a new turbo to intercooler O-ring seal and a Mishimoto silicone connector for the throttle body. With these WRX parts, you won't need to gather any additional accessories for installation, and our products are designed for years of reliable service.
