The core assembly or (CHRA - center housing rotating assembly) describes the middle part of a turbocharger consisting of compressor wheel, turbine wheel, running gear and bearing within a cast cartridge. If ball bearing turbochargers suffer a bearing failure currently only the complete Garrett core assembly can be exchanged. Up to now single components of these turbochargers are not available.
Core Assemblies other than listed can be purchased upon request.
The new GT-X turbocharger. CNC milled compressor wheels deliver higher pressure and flow. The new blade geometry changes a lot. Take a look at the compressor map to see the difference to the old GT4294R
The turbocharger is delivered without turbine housing! The old housing of the GT4294R can be used (on upgrade). Alternatively you can order this turbo with turbine housing as well.
